Icarus World Soft Links

Icarus World Soft Links are original connector links for Icarus canopies. They replace metal connector links in the appropriate application and help protect suspension lines, reduce wear points and make slider management cleaner.

Icarus specifically recommends soft links because they can make the slider easier to bring down, make packing cleaner, and help extend line set life. They are a small part, but they sit in a high-wear area of the parachute system, so using the correct type matters.

Choose the correct type

• Sport Main — for compatible Icarus sport main canopies.
• Tandem — for Icarus tandem applications.
• Reserve & Equinox — for reserve/Equinox use where this specific soft-link type is required.

Why they matter

Connector areas and lower lines are common wear points. Soft links can reduce abrasion compared with metal links and help keep the slider moving smoothly. They are also useful during regular inspections because they make wear, grommet condition and link area issues easier to monitor.

Installation and inspection

Soft links must be installed correctly and inspected regularly. Follow Icarus installation instructions and have a qualified rigger confirm compatibility, installation and condition. Also inspect slider grommets; damaged or sharp grommets can quickly damage lines even when soft links are used.
