Refund policy

This Refund Policy applies to purchases from SkydiveShop.com. It does not limit any mandatory consumer rights, the legal guarantee of conformity, or remedies for defective, damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming goods.
1. Statutory right of withdrawal for distance sales
- For eligible consumer distance sales, including online orders, you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason.
- For goods, the withdrawal period normally starts on the day you, or a third party indicated by you other than the carrier, receive the goods. For multiple goods delivered separately under one order, the period normally starts when the last item is received.
- You must inform us before the withdrawal period expires. You may do this by email at info@SkydiveShop.com, through our contact page, by using the model withdrawal form below, or by any other clear statement that you wish to withdraw.
- You do not need to give a reason for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.
2. Products excluded from the right of withdrawal
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where the law excludes it, including the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.
For SkydiveShop.com, this may include custom containers, custom rigs, custom canopies, suits, helmets, or other skydiving equipment where the item is made, configured, sized, coloured, embroidered, optioned, or otherwise produced specifically according to the customer's individual specifications and is not a normal prefabricated stock item.
A standard product ordered from a supplier because it is not currently in our stock is not automatically excluded from the right of withdrawal unless it is made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised.
Gift cards, vouchers, sale items, and discounted items may be excluded from our voluntary extended return period, but this does not remove statutory withdrawal rights where those rights apply.
3. Custom/specification goods and cancellations
For goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, cancellation after order acceptance is not a statutory withdrawal right and may only be accepted at our discretion.
If we agree to cancel such an order, any refund may be reduced by actual non-recoverable costs already incurred, including manufacturer charges, materials, production work, payment costs, shipping costs, or other order-specific costs. We do not treat this as a penalty for exercising a statutory withdrawal right.
4. Condition of returned items and diminished value
Returned goods must be handled only as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, in the same manner as would normally be allowed in a physical shop.
To receive a full refund, items must be returned unused, unworn, unmounted, uninstalled, unjumped, clean, complete, with tags, manuals, accessories, protective films, serial-number labels, and original packaging where applicable.
If returned goods show handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them, you remain able to exercise the withdrawal right where it applies, but we may reduce the refund to reflect the diminished value of the goods.
Diminished value may result from, for example:
- scratches, marks, dents, stains, odour, sweat, dirt, or other signs of wear;
- mounting, installation, adhesive residue, drilling, trimming, alteration, or assembly marks;
- packing, jumping, tunnel use, field use, deployment, or other use of skydiving equipment;
- removed or damaged tags, protective films, labels, packaging, manuals, accessories, certificates, or serial-number documentation;
- required cleaning, repair, reset, repack, inspection, recertification, or replacement of missing parts;
- loss in resale value where the item can no longer reasonably be sold as new.
Any deduction will be based on the actual condition of the returned item and documented where appropriate. It is not a penalty or an automatic restocking fee.
5. Return process and return costs
- After notifying us of withdrawal, you must send back or hand over the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days from the day you notified us.
- You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we agree otherwise or the item is defective, damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming.
- Please package returned goods securely. Damage caused by inadequate return packaging may reduce the refund if it causes diminished value.
- For high-value equipment, we strongly recommend using a tracked and insured return service and keeping proof of shipment.
6. Refunds
- For statutory withdrawal, we will reimburse eligible payments without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days from the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw.
- We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is earliest, unless otherwise required by law.
- We refund standard delivery costs paid at purchase where legally required. We do not have to refund supplementary delivery costs if you chose a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery option offered.
- Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise and you do not incur any fees as a result.
- If there is diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods, the refund may be reduced as explained above.
7. Voluntary extended returns
After the statutory 14-day withdrawal period, we may, by special agreement, accept voluntary returns up to 30 days from receipt. Voluntary extended returns are subject to our approval and may be subject to a 20% restocking fee, with a minimum of 60 EUR. This voluntary extended return option does not affect statutory withdrawal rights where they apply.
8. Defective, damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming products
If a product is defective, damaged, incorrect, or not as ordered, this is handled separately from withdrawal returns. You may be entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund, including applicable shipping costs, under the legal guarantee of conformity and other mandatory consumer rights.
Please contact us as soon as possible at info@SkydiveShop.com with your order number, product name, a description of the issue, and photos where relevant.
