Icarus ōm Wingsuit Canopy

The Icarus ōm is a purpose-built 7-cell wingsuit canopy designed around the problem that matters most in wingsuit skydiving: getting clean, controlled openings behind a large wake. It combines a modern semi-elliptical 7-cell platform with Icarus World’s wingsuit-specific inlet and reinforcement design.

The result is a canopy aimed at soft, on-heading, multi-stage openings, easy packing and dependable flight after long wingsuit flights. It is not just a “small main that happens to work for wingsuiting” — the ōm is built for the deployment environment created by modern wingsuits.

Wingsuit-focused opening design

The ōm uses a distinctive 2+3+2 nose configuration: the outer inlets are partially closed while the centre inlet remains fully open. Together with parabolic low-distortion reinforcement tapes and efficient trailing-edge control ribs, this helps control inflation and manage the wake behind larger wingsuits.

Flight character
