Deep & Steep Insight / Stratos Screen Protector

This is the genuine Deep & Steep screen protector for the Insight and Stratos altimeters: a sacrificial layer that takes the scuffs, scratches and packing-area abuse instead of the glass on your device. It keeps the display clean and readable while maintaining the wide viewing angle and clarity of the altimeter screen.

Why fit one

The display is the one part of the altimeter you read in freefall. A scratched or scuffed screen is a reading you stop trusting at 1,000 m, and replacing the glass itself is a repair. A protector is the cheap layer in between: jump with it on, let it pick up the wear from the aircraft door, the packing mat and your gear bag, then peel it off and fit a fresh one.

Fitting

Clean the glass first and check the alignment against the display window before pressing the protector down. If you would rather not fit it yourself, bring the altimeter to us at the DZ and we will do it.
